Kimberly Alexander

Executive Director

Kimberly Alexander serves as the Executive Director of the Tackle Cancer Foundation.  She helped establish the non-profit organization after her husband, former NFL linebacker Elijah Alexander, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2005.  During Elijah’s treatment, the Alexander family watched children struggling with cancer and wanted to make a difference for them.  That determination led to the creation of the Tackle Myeloma Foundation, which later became the Tackle Cancer Foundation.

The Tackle Cancer Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to families who have children fighting all forms of cancer and those diagnosed with the adult on-set blood cancer Multiple Myeloma.  Elijah lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma in 2010, but Kimberly, along with many supporters, continues to honor his wishes and memory through the Foundation. TCF strives to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and raise awareness for Multiple Myeloma and other cancers.

In addition to her work with the Tackle Cancer Foundation, Kimberly is the proud and devoted mother of two sons.  She is also a founding board member of Off the Field – a charitable organization comprised of the wives of active and retired NFL players – and is involved with several other local charities and causes.
