Our Mission

We understand, from personal experience, how overwhelming life can become when you or a loved one are fighting cancer. When coupled with the financial strain financial strain of an unexpected illness, it can be almost unbearable. The Tackle Cancer Foundation provides support for families who have children with cancer, helping pay their utility bills up to $2500 per year.

We also find ways to help bring a smile to the face of a child with cancer by hosting special events and activities to help bring a smile to their faces.

One of our favorites is a special movie night for children who cannot leave the hospital, and events in conjunction with the Lollipop Theater Network.

A portion of our proceeds go the International Myeloma Foundation to support research in memory of our founder, Elijah Alexander, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma at age 35.

Founded in 1991 the International Myeloma Foundation reaches more than 215,000 members in 113 countries worldwide. The IMF focuses on four key areas: research, education, support, and advocacy. To date, the IMF has conducted more than 250 educational seminars worldwide, maintains a world-renowned hotline, and established the International Myeloma Working Group, a collaborative research initiative focused on improving myeloma treatment options for patients.
