Financial Assistance
We understand from personal experience how overwhelming and expensive life can become when you are fighting cancer. With that in mind, we offer the following programs:
Financial Support
TCF offers families up to $2,500/year to assistance with insurance premiums, utilities, or medical bills. To deliver this assistance, we partner with specific cancer treatment providers in the Dallas Metroplex. If you are being treated by one of the providers below, the social worker assigned to your family will be aware of our programs.
- Baylor Hospital
- Children’s Medical Center
- Medical City of Dallas
- Cook Children’s Hospital
- Texas Oncology
Before you contact the social worker, you will find it helpful to read the Financial Assistance Guidelines here. Please read these carefully to determine whether or not you qualify for financial assistance, then follow the procedures.
Bone Marrow Screening
A) Related Screenings (screenings of intermediate family members) – TCF will cover the cost of up to 3 preliminary related screenings. TCF will cover the cost of 1 final related screening.
Awareness
The Tackle Cancer foundation is committed to promoting awareness of Multiple Myeloma and the impact of this disease on families as well as caregivers. Toward that end, we raise awareness of Multiple Myeloma by organizing fundraising events, speaking to public groups and organizations, and making information available online. With your support, we will continue our work to bring awareness to Multiple Myeloma patients, families, and caregivers through education and information.
The Tackle Cancer Foundation also brings awareness about the struggles that patient, families and caregivers endure while going through cancer treatments. Tackle Cancer Foundation is very aware that many of the struggles exist in treatment of many cancers, however we have decided to focus on Multiple Myeloma and childhood cancers. Most of our educational materials and programs will focus solely on Multiple Myeloma patients and many of our dollars go to supporting families who have children battling cancer as well as Multiple Myeloma patients.
