I lost my husband in 1992 to MM… When heroes , such as my husband and Eli, succomb to this disease it just makes us all the more determined to find a cure.. for everyone… Bless Eli as he looks down on all of us and bless his family at this very difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies to Elijah Alexander’s family. Elijah, a former NFL linebacker, bravely battled Multiple Myeloma for 5 years. He served as voice for Multiple Myeloma patients and we are deeply appreciative of all that he did to raise awareness of this devastating disease. In 2006, Elijah founded the Tackle Cancer Foundation.
I just had the honor of listening to Elijah speak at our company’s global oncology summit. He serves as such an inspiration not only to me but the other 1500 or so guests in the room. His story is truly amazing and I am so thankful to be working with a company that can give hope to so many like Elijah and their families. What he and all of the teammates of the Tackle Cancer Foundation are doing is nothing short of incredible and I wish everyone the absolute best now and in the future.
What an amazing organization Tackle Cancer Foundation is! The need is out there and TCF is answering that need in any way possible to make sure families dealing with cancer aren’t left in the dark. It’s great to know that you’re out there to help.
I have no words to express the unbelievable loss of one of the most incredable hero’s I will encounter in my lifetime. I have been drafted by Eli to keep his dream alive (TCF) and am personally committed to support his vision in every way possible. Eli changed my life and made me a better person. His spirit and compassion lives on!
I had a chance to briefly meet Eli at the Relay For Life Frisco Survivor dinner, and in the short amount of time I was blown away by his compassion and faith to help those battling cancer. My prayers go out to his family and friends and I hope they find some comfort knowing that he was able to touch so many in the short amount of time he was put on this earth. I will forever remember this giant of a man hugging my 80-year old mom at that dinner, two people who otherwise would never have met except for their commonality of fighting cancer with ferocity, sharing the same faith in God and heart-felt hope that someday we’ll find a cure for cancer.
